Message from the Chair

   Shane Clark, 2022 Chair

Dear Friends of the Fire Service,

I want to express my deep appreciation for your commitment to the men and women of the fire service in Southern Arizona. It was so good to see all of you at Feast & Fairways 2021. Together we had a record setting year, raising more than $90,000. We hope our 2022 effort continues this success. YOUR SUPPORT helps us address local firefighter health and safety issues through the Greater Tucson Fire Foundation. GTFF programs help firefighters diagnosed with cardiac, cancer, and mental health conditions get the treatment they need to heal and return to duty. As you may know, a portion of these proceeds go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) to assist them in their efforts to honor the Nation’s fallen firefighters and assist surviving family members.

Last year marked the 20th anniversary of 9/11. We paid tribute to the more than 400 emergency workers, including 343 firefighters, who died in the World Trade Center attack. We also honored local first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2020 and 2021. They represented the very best in fire and emergency services.

This year marks our 16th year holding our event. In these years we have raised more than $640,000. The outpouring of support to those that serve our community has been simply incredible. We support them in their time of need. On behalf of our committee of volunteers and members from the 15 Southern Arizona fire agencies who give their time each year to make it happen, THANK YOU for your support. See you at our event that will be returning to Casino Del Sol and the Sewailo Golf Club on September 15-17, 2022.
